PPS, a world leader in tactile sensing technology, is set to feature its RoboTact tactile sensor solution at RobotWorld 2025 at KINTEX in South Korea. The technology will be presented in collaboration with Tesollo, a Korean automation and robotics specialist, giving visitors the chance to experience how advanced tactile feedback is transforming robotic dexterity and safety from November 5-8th.

For years, robotic systems have struggled to match the sensory awareness of the human hand. While vision systems and motion control have advanced rapidly, the absence of true tactile feedback has limited robots’ ability to interact safely and intelligently with real-world environments. PPS recognises the lack of tactile feedback as a critical barrier to advancing automation, precision handling, and effective human robot collaboration.

In response, the company developed RoboTact, a breakthrough tactile sensing technology designed to give robotic hands and grippers a human-like sense of touch. Using an array of miniature pressure sensors, RoboTact provides detailed, real-time feedback on contact forces, enabling robots to handle delicate or variable objects safely and efficiently. This tactile intelligence supports applications ranging from automated assembly and packaging to medical robotics and collaborative robots (cobots).

“Robotic manipulation has traditionally relied on visual and motion feedback alone, but true dexterity requires the ability to sense and respond to touch,” explains Dr. Jae Son, CEO of PPS.

“Our RoboTact platform gives robots the tactile awareness needed to work safely alongside people and perform delicate, complex tasks with human-like precision from picking a piece of fruit to assembling fragile electronic components,” added Dr. Son

The collaboration with Tesollo represents an important step in showcasing the global potential of PPS’s tactile sensing technology. By combining Tesollo’s expertise in robotic integration with PPS’s world-class tactile sensors, visitors to the KINTEX RobotWorld event will see how advanced touch sensing can improve both performance and human-robot interaction.

RobotWorld, held annually at KINTEX since 2005 (now marking its 20th anniversary), is one of Asia’s premier robotics and automation exhibitions. In recent years the show has drawn more than 45,000 visitors and hundreds of exhibitors from around the world. Korea’s position as a global leader in robot adoption, advanced manufacturing and smart-factory systems makes this exhibition uniquely significant. The event convenes the full spectrum of the robotics world, from global manufacturers and ambitious start-ups to system integrators and academic pioneers, spanning everything from service robots and autonomous mobile platforms to advanced industrial automation.
