R&D Sensors
PPS tactile sensors are built for researchers and engineers who need accurate, reliable pressure and force data and the flexibility to integrate it into their own systems and workflows. From single-point force measurement to high-resolution multi-element arrays, our sensors are configurable, technically supported, and designed to perform in even the most demanding experimental conditions.
For research requiring a ready-built measurement platform, our application specific sensing systems offer the same measurement quality in purpose-built form factors.
Application Specific Sensor systems
Purpose built pressure measurement + mapping sensor systems
A range of tactile sensors specifically made for unique, tough to tackle applications such as body pressure mapping, medical devices, and semiconductor and spray.

The TactArray Tactile Pressure Sensor
A configurable, high-resolution sensor fitting for most applications
TactArrays are our flagship pressure mapping sensors and cover a larger area than DigiTacts. Designed to perform in even the most complex situations. Available in many configurations.

The DigiTacts Contact Pressure Sensors
A sensor made for smaller, precise applications
DigiTact sensors contain a small number (12-24) of discrete sensing elements with a common ground electrode. DigiTacts are best used for testing across smaller areas, embedding, and OEM integration. DigiTacts are available in many sizes and pressure ranges.
The RoboTact Tactile Sensors
A fingertip-scale sensor built for robotic dexterity and manipulation
RoboTact sensors embed directly into robotic fingers and grippers, capturing contact force, pressure distribution, vibration, and incipient slip in real time. Designed for both flat and curved surfaces, each sensor contains a 12-element array with element sizes of 3.2 x 3.2 mm or 4 x 4 mm, supporting up to four finger sensors per system. RoboTact includes an integrated accelerometer, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, and a ROS2 driver for seamless integration with leading robotics platforms.
The SingleTact Miniature Force Sensor
An inexpensive, single point contact force sensor
The SingleTact is our most inexpensive sensor and can be purchased right away. For single points of contact or applications where only one sensing element is required, SingleTacts are the way to go. Available in multiple variations, and can be connected to create multiple sensing elements.
